Cress: A Re-read Review

Cress: A Re-read Review

Re-read reviews are always really hard for me because I don’t know what to say. So, I’m just going to list the three main reasons why I love Cress so much and why it was my favorite Lunar Chronicles book (before I read Winter): The addition of the Rapunzel story.  Rapunzel has always been a favorite of mine. Tangled will forever be one of my favorite movies because she’s just wonderful. Literally, in my sophomore Speech Class in high school, we had to do a “campaign” speech, and I ran to be the next Rapunzel. No joke. So I love that Meyer added Rapunzel into […]

Scarlet | A Re-Read Review

Scarlet | A Re-Read Review

Scarlet, Scarlet, Scarlet. I’m here to talk about Scarlet. Okay, I’m going to be frank here–I’m awful at re-read reviews. You know, when you read a book for the first time, everything is new to you so you have a lot of things to talk about. This is such a unique concept and I love it. It takes place in the future in New Beijing with cyborgs and androids and hovercars. Not exactly the classic horse-drawn carriage scenario. Cinder isn’t the dainty little princess we […]

Fairest: A Book Review

Fairest: A Book Review

Ah! I am so happy with Fairest. Happy in a “Oh my gosh, I hate Levana so much more now” kind of way. It’s not technically a part of the Cinder canon (aka Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and [I’m so excited!] Winter), but it gives you insights into the past three and most probably into the third…Let me scratch that, it will give you insights into the third. I had so many “Oh, wow so that explains it” moments. Let me tell you what I think about this book. The Good First off, the cover. The cover is amazing in a “I can’t tell if this is creepy […]
