Welcome to my tour stop, be sure to stop by the tour page for the full schedule. My Favorite Quotes I love quotes. So to find so many beautifully-written and imaginative lines is a wonderful thing. Here are some of my favorite quotes from this book: He was surrounded by love, and he used that power to create. “I love this old tree,” Alan said, running his hand over the twisted bark of its trunk as he stood […]

Re-read reviews are always really hard for me because I don’t know what to say. So, I’m just going to list the three main reasons why I love Cress so much and why it was my favorite Lunar Chronicles book (before I read Winter): The addition of the Rapunzel story. Rapunzel has always been a favorite of mine. Tangled will forever be one of my favorite movies because she’s just wonderful. Literally, in my sophomore Speech Class in high school, we had to do a “campaign” speech, and I ran to be the next Rapunzel. No joke. So I love that Meyer added Rapunzel into […]
Ever since I saw the movie for this trailer, I knew that I had to read the book. It sounded freaking awesome. Not for Mark Watney, of course. But for me as a reader…freaking awesome. And it did not let me down. The premise is that this mission to Mars, Ares 3, had to abort their mission because of a powerful dust storm. Trying to get to their shuttle, Mark Watney was hit with flying debris and presumed dead. Though the decision was hard, the rest of the crew boarded and started flying back to Earth. Watney woke up a few hours later…still […]
Cinder by Marissa Meyer is one of the most iconic fairy tale retelling. It’s the story of Cinderella (I hope you were able to figure that out from the title) but with some major differences. Differences which make the book so lovable and unique. So here I am, telling you the reasons why you should read Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Cinder is a cyborg. Sci-fi Cinderella. This is such a unique concept and I love it. It takes place in the future in New Beijing with cyborgs and androids and hovercars. Not exactly the classic horse-drawn carriage scenario. Cinder isn’t the dainty little princess we […]
This might not be that long of a review but I just really didn’t like this book. I’ve never read a multi-dimensional book before but the premise of The Corridor sounded awesome. Literally you’re traveling from one dimension of Earth to another. But that is such a big concept and the end result was just…small. And I’m not really a negative review kind of gal, but I received this for review so I’m just going to be honest.
I don’t really know where to start with this book review because honestly I don’t really know what happened with this book. I started off really liking it. Each chapter is a letter from these two pen pals, Moritz and Ollie. They both have…disabilities, I guess you could say. Ollie is “allergic” to electricity, or has something similar but way more intense than epilepsy. Moritz was born without eyes and also has a pacemaker, something that makes it nearly impossible for Ollie and him to ever meet. So it started off interesting and captivating. I wanted to know about their very […]
