My Proversary

Today, November 14th, 2013, is my five-month Proversary. At this moment, I can picture your face fairly easily: eyebrows slightly bent inwards, eyes marginally squinted, head somewhat turned to the left. Basically, you just have a confused, somewhat concerned expression on your face. What is a Proversary? you may be thinking. Is Proversary even a real word? Who does this Carli girl think she is, making up strange words? I still want to know what Proversary means…What should I make for dinner tonight? I think I have still have some leftover Cafe Rio. I am so excited about my Sunday afternoon nap. […]

My Autumn Expectations

Finter, Wall, Call it what you will, Utah is suffering from a severe case of “Can’t-figure-out-what-season-we’re-in-itis.” It’s a real problem. 8 out of 10 doctors would agree. . . Okay, that’s a lie. Only six, but eight sounded more impressive. Utah, Utah, Utah. We’re supposed to be in fall, harvest season, autumn. A complete one hundred percent of the time, it is fall. Not every other day. Not just when you feel like it. All the time, my friend, all the time. At least until November. After that, you have free reign to snow, to frost, to redden my cheeks as much as […]

Busy as a Bee

Guys, guys. guys, I can’t believe how long it’s been since my last post. I haven’t even written since fall semester has started…and I feel like it started forever ago! I think it’s actually been exactly a month since the first day. How crazy is that? My communications professor said this is the third-way point. Ahh. Let me try to catch you up. First off, I love Centennial, especially my roommates. They are all awesome. What’s really cool to see is that we are all incredibly different, but we get along (for the most part) incredibly well! We just decorated our […]

The “Homeless Period”

The “Homeless Period”

Hello all. I am honestly so bad at being consistent with this blog, but oh, well. If you’re reading this, I hope you know me well enough to forgive and love me anyways. So, I haven’t been in school for a solid two and a half weeks, although it seems much longer than that. I mentioned that I was homeless in my last post, and I definitely was. I slept on the couch, floor, and bed in Alexis’s sister’s apartment. And then we moved to her uncle’s mansion (yes, mansion). Their guest room was probably bigger than my whole new apartment, […]

See you, Wyview

So, I’m just going to get this out there. I am terrible at writing blog posts. Terrible. Okay, just terrible at writing them consistently. So much has been going on, but now it’s all kind of stopped, so I figured I better take advantage of it. Last week was my first ever college Finals week. I had two finals – Geography and Book of Mormon – and it was kind of stressful, not gonna lie. I pulled out an 89 in Book of Mormon and pulled out a 93.2 in the class (I was literally a mere eight points away from […]

Catsup

Catsup, Ketchup, Catch up. That’s what I need to do. Catch up. A lot has happened, but nothing like miraculous or major like my last post. Basically, I’m just loving life, loving BYU, loving my friends, loving the gospel, loving everything. I’ve just been hanging out a lot around Wyview, going to classes, and taking a few exams (bleh). This summer has gone by SO FAST, so fast. I can’t believe that it’s already almost over. There are only two more weeks and then sayonara summer term 2013. It’s going to be really hard to accept that it’s over, especially when it […]
