On My Nightstand in May 2016

TBRIt’s May! Hurrrrah! And if you read my April recap yesterday, you’d know that about a week and a half ago, I took my last final for the semester! Which means no class for four months! Which means I’ll actually have time to read. <Insert astonished face>

It’s been a slow reading year for me so far (Just ask my “9 books behind” Goodreads goal)…but I’m hoping this summer I can catch up and get ahead even? Maybe? Hopefully? Who knows actually? But let’s get this going.

TBR for kicks

the storyspinner contact darkest minds demon

hotel ruby epidemic the rose and the dagger shadow and bone

Don’t mind the fact that Hotel Ruby and The Demon King have been on this list before. Multiple times. But it will happen this month. I’m making a promise to you and to myself. Soooo hopefully it happens. All of these books I either own or currently have from the library (besides The Epidemic, which I’m still waiting for my hold to come in for), so I’m hoping to get through them. As for Shadow and Bone and the book I’m currently reading (You Were Here by Cori McCarthy)…yeah, they’re due on Tuesday (aka tomorrow). And They won’t let me renew again. So basically…#Challenge Accepted

TBR for class

Haha sucker! There’s nothing here…because I don’t have class for four months! I thought about just not including this section, but leaving it empty is just so immensely satisfying.

TBR for review

the star-touched queen and i darken paper girls 1 the girl from everywhere

This semester was really hard school-wise, so I’m very behind on ARCs. Like so so so behind. But I’m hoping to fix that this month and get my suffering Netgalley rating back up to where it should be. Here are a few that I hope to get through!

So…hopefully I’ll get through at least most of these books! Have you read any of these before? Do you want to? Do you not want to? What books are you planning to read in May? Let me know in the comments!

No idea what else I’ll end up reading, but I know for sure I’m reading Illuminae and The Raven Boys this month. I’m super excited to jump on the Raven Cycle band wagon. I hope I like it as much as most other people seem to!

  • Uhm. You were supposed to read Hotel Ruby in November. Yes, I am keeping note of your reading habits. LOL. You know The Epidemic is high up on my list. I’m just waiting for it to arrive. Maybe we can buddy read it? I’m also really looking forward to The Last Star. 😀
