Looking Back: February 2016

looking back feb2016

Yaaaay a new month (which means a month closer to this semester being over!). AND IT’S MARCH. That means in almost three months, I’ll be 21. Which means absolutely nothing because I don’t and won’t drink. But that’s a-okay. So let’s get on with my month.

What I…

  • Fangirled About: I met Marissa Meyer! Dsdjiaosdjsiaodjs. Shemarissa meye was super cute. She read…no,
actually, she recited from memory the original story of The Little Mermaid. Apparently she recites one of the original stories at every event she goes to, which I think is a beautiful trademark to have.
  • Stressed Over/Got Excited About: Internships! I applied for seven different internship opportunities for a publications company about forty-five minutes from where I’m living. I applied for editorial positions within their magazines and also social media and web content positions, since I have experience with all of these things. I got called back and interviewed for five of the seven just last week, and I’m now waiting to hear back. AHHHH. No, actually, I was stressing out during the process, but now I feel pretty at peace with it all.
  • Got No Sleep Over: School. It’s pretty simple. Last week I think I got around four hours of sleep a night…which I cannot do. So I think I’m still trying to catch up at this point, and I got kind of sick from it too. But it’s okay and this week seems to be smoother sailing.

Posts I Wrote

In case you can’t tell from this dismal list, this was a very slow blogging month for me. But I’m hoping to pick it back up in April!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: A Book Review
Love-a-thon Questionnaire
Love-a-thon Bingo
Love-a-thon Bookshelf Color Challenge (this one was super fun)

And then my favorite post to write…my book blog turned one! And I reflected on some things I’ve learned. And I’m providing a surprise giveaway, so be sure to check it out:
Blogaversary Reflections!

How was February for you? Read any good books? Do any exciting things? Let me know in the comments!

  • Great collection of books read – such a wide array of genres. And yay for meeting Marissa Meyer. Sounds exciting. 🙂

  • Internships are nerve-wracking, but I hope you get a spot at one of those 5 places! *fingers crossed*

  • Annika

Sounds like you’ve had a busy time of it lately! Good luck with the internships!
You’ve read really interesting books this past month, I definitely have to check some of them out!
