Today is the last stop of the Summer Blogger Promo Tour! I know, I know. So sad. But today I’m featuring Patrick from his blog, The Bookshelves! I asked him a few questions to get to know him a little better so here we go!:

The Interview

  1. Introduce yourself and your blog.
My name is Patrick Castro (17) and I’m currently a senior in high school. I created my blog, The Bookshelves, to share my love of reading with others. It now has evolved into a lifestyle/book blog where you can see tons of bookish posts, but also more of me!
  2. When and why did you start blogging?
I started blogging back when I was in 8th grade when I got the idea to share what I love with people who I thought liked it also! Which is definitely true!
  3. What’s your favorite part of book blogging?
My favorite part of blogging is seeing comments on posts and seeing all the support through social media. It’s absolutely amazing and makes blogging worthwhile. Plus,  it’s amazing getting packages from publishers/authors!
  4. What’s your least favorite thing about book blogging?
My least favorite thing about book blogging is that writing some things get stressful, especially for me since I’m headed back to school. I try my best to keep up with schedule posts and being active on social media.
  5. If you could only recommend three books for the rest of your life, what would they be?
    Divergent by Veronica Roth
Looking for Alaska by John Green
    Bloodlines by Richelle Mead
I believe those 3 books are the best of the best because there open so much about humans and life. It’s amazing.
  6. Tell us something un-bookish about yourself.
I’m actually majoring in architecture! I love design and buildings so I’m excited to be heading for college next year!
  7. E-reader or physical books? Why?
Physical books! I mean it’s the best thing to hold and book and finish it. It’s one of those feelings you have to experience yourself to find out. Plus who doesn’t love turning the pages and looking at the cover?
  8. What’s your favorite post that you’ve written?
My favorite post had to be one of my discussion posts on blogging tips I wish I knew about. I loved how open I was about sharing my tips with other bloggers/readers and I hope you guys got inspired!
  9. What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman!
  10. Anything else you want to tell us?
Be sure to check out my blog and social media! I love meeting new followers/readers of my blog!
