Man. I just went to the movies with my little bro and saw Jurassic World. Now…let me just say that I have never seen the original Jurassic Park (Let me proceed to my cone of shame)…

But after seeing Jurassic World, I fully intend to go and watch the originals. Jurassic World was probably the most intense movie I’ve ever seenAnd maybe I just haven’t watched the right intense movies…but oh my word. So here I am, ready to share my reactions via gif, because that’s always fun, right?

Now I’m going to be honest. I really actually had no idea what this movie was going to be about. All I knew was Chris Pratt + Dinosaurs. And I love Chris Pratt…so it seemed like a fun Friday night bro-sister date to go watch it. You know, a good-hearted movie. Obviously going to be funny because of Chris. And dinosaurs won’t scare me. They’re dinosaurs, for goodness sakes. But, alas, that’s not really what this movie is about. So if you want a good-hearted, comedy…this isn’t your movie.

Basically, the entire movie I was sitting there like this:

Or this:

Sometimes this:

Also, this:

And, of course, it’s Chris Pratt, so there were some laughs so there were times I was like this:

But then we’d be back in the moment and my laughs would quickly turn to shock and nervousness once again:

And if I had been drinking a slushie, this would have happened to my brother:

But it was also emotional. There was even a time I teared up a little bit:

But let’s be honest, most of the time I was like this guy:

Because dinosaurs are freaking scary.

So, go watch Jurassic World. Because it was awesome. And terrifying. But awesome.

  • Cayt Landis

Yes! This movie was epic! The storyline wasn’t the best written thing in the world and there was a lack of character development, but that’s not what I was looking for in this movie. I was looking for Chris Pratt and some awesome dinosaurs, which is what I got.

You need to see the original though. It’s way more edge of your seat and there’s a proper story as well. So good! One of my favorite movies of all time. I’m sure you’ll love it!

    • That’s what I’ve heard…that the first one is even scarier and just overall better. I’m planning on watching it soon!
