What the heck. It’s already April. How in the world did that happen? Someone please tell me where my life is going because I have no idea.
Anyways. . . March. March was good. March was fast. Let’s rewind and take a looksy.
Cried over: I finally caught up and finished Parenthood. I watched the series finale last night and I have absolutely no idea why I stayed out in the living room because I just cried. Not just teared up, like tears rolling down my face. One of my roommates was laughing but SHE HASN’T WATCHED IT SO SHE DOESN’T UNDERSTAND THE PAIN. Okay, moving on.
Procrastinated: Um, basically everything. I’m a college student approaching finals week. What else am I supposed to do if not procrastinate? Study? Pfft. But on the off-chance that I was studying and not watching Parenthood (*sniff*), the picture below shows one of my favorite places to do it. Seriously, guys…Utah is beautiful.
Got excited over: I officially got the internship! Yay *dances in excitement*. I am going to be a general content intern at a marketing company back in my hometown. Basically, I’m going to be researching and writing content for companies’ websites and social media. And probably other things that I don’t know the full extent of yet. But, hey, this is like my first big-girl, I’m-going-to-be-working-in-the-real-world-someday-and-probs-should-get-experience job.
Geeked out about: I MET LAUREN OLIVER. Someone steady me. This was my first author reading/signing I’ve ever been to and I loved it. It was seriously so cool to listen to her speak about her life with writing and how she came up with the ideas of some pretty amazing books. I should have recorded what she said so I could have transcripted it for you guys (I’ll do that at the next event I go to) but I think my favorite part was just to hear her speak about writing. I grew up wanting to be a best-selling author. That was my end goal. With life came a reality that kind of beat that dream out of me to the point that I haven’t written anything in a long time. Most of the time I would just start something and then realize that it was stupid two pages in. But she said that she always goes through that same thing. There’s a stage where you hate what you’re writing and that’s just how it goes. It’s really just enduring to the end and then editing the crap out of it. It really helped me change my perspective and when this semester is over I want to try to write some things.
Loved, loved, loved: That my brother came down from Idaho and visited me! And we hiked a cool waterfall and it was just overall lovely.
Did that required me to take a long shower after: The Color Festival! This was seriously so fun. It’s a Hindu festival that happens every year about twenty minutes out from where I live in Utah. They throw chalk and eat food and it’s awesome. Check out some of those pictures below! Seriously the chalk got everywhere and my hair was tinted pink for a couple of days. Worth it? Worth it.
